strange files.. HELP

by wildflower52 / May 3, 2005 9:19 AM PDT

I have been recently trying to "spring clean" my computer and delete unwanted files, and I keep comming across a file called hpothb07. I have deleted a few thinking they were viruses or what not, but I keep finding more. Does anyone know what this is for, and if i should bother keeping it?? any help would be appreciated!

Also, i just found a file called DDISCVRY.DPS, and any info on that would be appreciated too! Thanks!

My Google search turned up some interesting results. You might try the file names in Google.

Is there any chance you have a digital camera or an HP printer, scanner, etc? I believe these are image files of some sort and probably you are seeing a default naming sequence.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
