dwpatterson,
Issue 1: I would get the board replaced. That way, you won't have to worry about the unit after the warranty has expired. Again, it's up to you, but the option is there for the term of your warranty. After that, I'm not sure what happens.
Issue 2: I'm going to have to check into this. I'm assuming you have the latest firmware for the television (confirmation would be great), but it may be happening through the receiver. Hook the unit directly up to the television to see if you get the same symptom. It may be best to run optical from the offending stations HDMI-to-TV, then audio optical-to-optical.
Keep me posted!

Hello all, first post here. I just recieved my new LN-46A850, replacing an LN-T4671. The picture on the new set is amazing. is comparable to Blu-Ray now with Dish HD signal. Auto motion seems cured.
ISSUES: 1. IR Remote interference. I read other posts concerning this, my Dishnetwork remote works fine, except it needs a few minutes to wake up. First day/initial fireup no problems. Next morning I got up, could not switch channels until 3-5 minutes, then remote works fine. Tech support has agreed to schedule a service call to replace the board, but unless the condition is going to degenerate, is hardly worth the trouble. Watcha'll think?
2. Noise, popping from set speakers with volume off. This only occurs when my Blu-ray player switches itself (default mumbo) to 1080i, or with a PS3 game that is not 1080P. The BR player I can manually switch to 1080P and make it stop. The PS3, haven't been able to switch, but the only game that acts up is GTA, a 720P game. Both players are HDMI to Pioneer reciever, then to HDMI 3 on set. My dishbox is to HDMI 1 on set, then optical to reciever so I can watch TV without full surround sound on. Noise coming from set speakers, with set speakers off, is loud, crackle and pop, sounds disturbing. Hook-up issue or TV set problem?
Thanks in advance, dwp
