I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue, and I checked out the pictures.

For the DVD player, it might be a cable issue, or an interruption of signal, of sorts. But if the similar symptom happens with the menu, it may indicate something internal is causing the unit. While I can't diagnose the units, I'd recommend having a technician take a look at the unit to see if he can offer further insight, or contacting the Samsung customer service center in your area.
