Make sure you have all your data, Adobe and Illustrator files, backed up.
Try removing the Adobe CS2 preferences. You should find them in your home folder>library>preferences.
Drag them onto the desktop.
Launch CS2 and supply the required information.
Repeat with Illustrator.

Hello,
I hope somebody can help me, because it is driving me completely crazy.
I was running Adobe CS2 for more than one year on my MacBook (OS 10.5.
without any problems.
Suddenly Illustrator does not start up anymore and hangs at the initialization and InDesign keeps on asking for my serial number when starting up and not recognizing the serial number as valid.
Acrobat and Photoshop start and run perfectly.
I have uninstalled (according to Adobe instructions) and re-installed, repaired disk and permissions and even moved the fonts.
Nothing helped and I am still starting Photoshop and Acrobat. InDesign keeps on asking for serial numbers and Illustrator hangs at start up.
I tried the Adobe forums, but no replies.
Anybody any suggestions?
Thank you and highly appreciated.
