Storage on IPad, IPod

Jun 22, 2019 5:53PM PDT

I have a 32 GB IPod and just bought a 128 GB IPad. I used the same account and am wondering about what happens when I sync my IPod with more than 32 GB on it. I use my IPod for music only. A solution would be to use a 2nd user account for my IPad. Is this possible if I already set up my IPad? Can I transfer my files from my IPod?

You are thinking as if the iPod uses file transfers

For its music. Sorry no. The 2nd account seems best. I moved away from 16GB models for this reason.

If you backup the 128GB to iTunes occasionally,

you could use iTunes to selectively transfer your chosen music to the 32GB one.
I used to make a Playlist exclusively for the different sizes of iPod that the wife had, with iTunes set to only push its own Playlist.

Or instead of using a 2nd account

You can try using a phone manager tool so you can easily transfer files you only wish to transfer.
