Runing WinXP

I want to stop quality of service but when I Go- Start-Run-gpedit.msc
I recieve a message 'Windows cannot find 'gpedit' Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again, to search for a file click the start button and then click search'

Any help on how I can get round this or get it to run?

want to do this as I have a slow and shared wireless;

Click Start, then Run.
Enter gpedit.msc in the box.
Under ?Local Computer Policy,? click the plus sign next to ?Computer Configuration,? then the one next to ?Administrative Templates.?
Click the plus sign next to ?Network? and select ?QoS Packet Scheduler.?
In the right-hand box, double-click on ?Limit Reservable Bandwidth.?
On the Settings tab, choose Enabled.
In the ?Bandwidth Limit %? box, set it to 0%. (Do not leave it blank.)
Click OK.

Since it's a service and you want to stop it...

Try it my way?

In closing, I've tried this tweak. Zero effect on some dozens of machines.

I'm beginning to think this one should be stricken from any "helpful tips."
