Only temporary

It should be noted that this program will only temporarily postpone things. Ultimately, you will be getting IE7 like it or not, so you may as well just download it now, and immediately go about using Firefox or Opera instead.

rester, best way to prevent IE7 from downloading

Select Custom from Windows Update, the plus sign next to IE7, click it. It will show all info with a blank box. Put a checkmark in the box
and it is now a hidden update. I have 7 hidden updates and NONE have tried to install. Another program is not needed. Darrell L.

Stop update

Go to control panel>security center>automatic updates

I ticked "notify me but don't automatically download or install them"
