What problems are you having with Zonealarm? The free or the Pro version? What do you consider 'better'?

Windows XP has a firewall. If you're on ADSL or cable or have a LAN your modem/router may have a firewall. A lot of Internet Security suites (like Norton or McAfee) come with a firewall, so if happen to have one of those, you probably have it already; but they might be available separately also. Then there are free Kerio and Sygate (http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=sygate) and Outpost.

But as long as you don't tell what you don't like in Zonealarm nobody will be able to tell you if others are better for you.

Sorry But
Aug 3, 2006 12:39AM PDT

Sorry but the latest updates to Zone Alarm caused problems for me and alot of other people. I switched to the Kerio firewall by Sunbelt. Its the only firewall of 5 that I tested that shows every port stealthed, even the ones for email.
