General discussion

staying signed into a website

Jul 17, 2005 11:20AM PDT

I am a member of a iwon.com. My homepage is their website. When I start internet explorer their website would pop up with me signed in. For the past couple of weeks when I start internet explorer I have to sign into their website. When I try to sign in it doesn't work. Sometimes I'll have to sign in 3 or more times for me to get logged in to the site. I have ran my virus, adaware, spyware programs deleted all my cookies, and temporary internet files and I still can't stay logged into their website. Do you know what the problem would be? I have windows xp.

Did you check if IE is appectting cookies from iwon.com?
You don't really have to deleted all cookie but you can deleted all the history and temp files. There are some cookies you should block and some you may keep while you online when you logged into their website.
Goto Internet Options and change the tab to privacy. The sites button allows you to block and allow cookies. Also allow you to see the sites you label to do. Start with advanced privacy settings and make all cookies prompts which it means you control what cookies stored and read from your browsers. Your Adaware programs would tell you detail where the ads cookie come from(domain) like real.com or doubleclick.net.
