Stay with Xp home or Vista Basic on laptop?

Well it sucs that many laptops dont have removal video cards, same with mine and even thought i upgraded it to my specifactions Vista Premium wont look to nice on my Laptop. So vista basic is my only option but from what people are saying should i even go all the way with it?
