I'm glad C|Net is there to try these things before we do.

You did your job.

It sounds exactly like movielink

movielink requires a software download, uses the wmv format, runs a process w/ system start-up w/o permission, and has the same rental model.

Sad Mates

It is just sad that they handled it like this, this is a really good idea but they screwed it up pretty bad. I somehow doubt that it is really malicious (because it is amazon, i hope i can trust them!) but i myself will not be taking that chance.

Just a wild guess....

I'm guessing that they had too many 'partners' on this deal as it smells like "too many cooks spoil the broth".

I can't try it anyway
by mattmoris / September 9, 2006 11:26 AM PDT

I can't try Unbox anyway since none of these companies who have Movie/TV Show download services will let me download from Canada. Thank You Amazon for not letting Canadians download just like everyone else.

Tom... You are right on...

You are right on, I reviewed Unbox over the weekend. It's as bad as you say and worse.

It's DRM hell, can't move files around to other machines (even if they're registered at Amazon), 5.1 doesn't work, rentals are brutal.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
