Gamers wire their connection so try it with the router WiFi turned off. What happens?
So few weeks ago I moved into my apartment. I was waiting for a new mouse for my "gaming" computer so I had been chilling on my laptop for a week or so and the internet was showing no problems at all. My mouse had arrived and I was pumped for gaming. After going online and playing for a few minutes my ping suddenly rose to 2000. I thought it would pass or that my GF might be doing some **** on her phone making me lag. After checking a few stuff i realized nothing was on but the internet was still going between 2000 ping and timing out. I just figured I'd try the next day. Same problem again! I called some customer support who gave me a few commands to reset the internet somehow, this worked for 1 hour or so and came back. Now every time I try and play some games on my stationary the internet just goes wild. And the very weird part is that whenever I turn on the stationary the ping on the laptop also goes sky high. I have no clue whats going on and thought I'd ask if anyone had some knowledge about this before i just reinstall windows and see if that helps.
