Startup Optimizer won't work

Jul 16, 2010 6:44AM PDT

I've downloaded the top-rated Startup Optimizer a couple of times; when I click on the icon to start it up, I get an EAccessViolation
message. What is this and how do I fix it..

http://download.cnet.com/Startup-Optimizer/3010-2086_4-10529547.html lists the supported operating systems: up to XP, no Vista, no Windows 7.

So we have to guess:
- your OS
- from where you downloaded
- what version you downloaded

Does the download package include a readme file or other documentation that helps to answer to questions and tells about the compability?

I'm on XP level 2. The download was from CNET, through my ADSL, was fast and seemed OK. There's no readme I can see. It's Version 1.6
