Question

startup items

Aug 27, 2015 2:30PM PDT

I want to speed up my startup be removing programs and services from my startup list. In going through the list some of the program names are not self explanatory. How can I find out what a program does so that I know whether or not to remove it?

If you find it can be both valid or an exploit, then find the program file and run AV on it.

dont want to hijack this thread but the short version is when I was checking addons the first time, one addon that I disable and did not require a browser restart actually required a restart when I tested it again later. it was affecting cnet and only cnet. Still have two linux browser I cannot use with the cnet community.
