Starting a business after a previous failed one

Hi - I had a previous business which failed, and wanted to know if there were other people who had gone through a similar scenario and started a new business. Outside of the obvious, what were the biggest challenges? How did you overcome them?

Then you try again. However there are folk that repeat things like drop shipping from other countries and won't listen to what's up with that.

We learn from failure. We change rather than repeat. If it was bad timing, we wait.

First of all I would like to say that never get discouraged by the failure. The test of success is not what you do when you are on top. Success is how high you bounce back when you hit bottom. I would love to know what was your business so that I can comment further. Happy

Keep your chin up

In reply to: Starting a business after a previous failed one

I've experience a lot of ups and downs and I'm currently battling with a slow season but I just keep focusing on being inventive with fresh ways to expand and market to potential clients. Keep your chin up and keep going. If you stop moving you fall further behind when picking things back up.

Failure is inevitable

Knowing that the most successful entrepreneurs in the world have experienced failure before they succeeded made me want to start again armed with the lessons from my failed venture. Give yourself enough time to contemplate and recover. Take note of the things that went wrong and understand its aspects so you don't repeat them again. Dust yourself off and try again.

New one after Failed one

It is not wrong thing to be failed in anything, you goes failed because you wants to do something and you are doing something. Wrong is when you give up and lose your courage. do it again and again one day it will be happen.

I get it

In reply to: Starting a business after a previous failed one

I have failed a few times building businesses. I tried to build a real estate business here in Vegas and the competition was so great that i just eventually gave up. I was focusing on default mortgage notes so i made some money but the time to income ratio was not very favorable. I then took my whooping and kept trucking on. I now know that when i decide to try again that i will definitely do some due diligence on what the heck i am doing and make it a lot easier on myself. If you guys want to check out what i have cooking at the moment please check out my towing service site and give some feed back. The content and design seems to be working for me and i am starting to get some traffic in the form of phone calls. Thanks.

Right conclusions

In reply to: Starting a business after a previous failed one

Everybody has its own experience which may be instructive especially for him. Very important to analyse all situation - what was correct and wrong with your previous business. You will see that not everything was bad. Maybe it was simply wrong time or place for it. In any way your conclusions will help you to do the next step. Do not stop. It does not mean to jump into new business immediately. Give yourself some time to see all the picture from the side.
