Start up problem

Nov 4, 2005 5:54AM PST

I went into the start up and it had microsoft fast find and Kodak there, so I unchecked them both. did the reboot and looked and it was gone. I did this about two weeks ago. Yesterday I looked at my start up again and there is now the fast find checked again, also my Kodak I had unchecked them.

I have been using my word program and the kodak program. If you use those do they go into the start up again? I am very confused as to why they came back into the start up.

Please help me understand.

that start automatically at windows startup? If so open the program and make sure the start with windows option is not checked, if it is uncheck it.

That isn't uncommon

Some programs are worse than others. Real Player and Quicktime are terrible for doing that. If you use the program or feature, it puts itself back into the startup group. Try unchecking them again and make sure you select OK or apply before exiting.
