System Preferences -> Accounts -> Login Items -> Click Skype -> Delete
It should be there if it is configured for automatic launch. That ought to do the trick for you. Good luck.
Ok, first I'm still using Tiger 10.4.11 on a G4 iBook.
Now, I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm in the middle of a project and, for the life of me, I'm just scatter brained today.
I started using 2 user profiles to keep work issues from my personal stuff so that when I use my laptop in the work place I don't need to worry about others getting into my personal stuff. My habit is to log out of each user.
Now I have a couple of programs that run on log in on the admin profile, such as Skype. I don't want Skype to turn on every time I log in because it takes forever to boot so I went to turn it off. Well, Skype preferences does not offer you the option to stop it from turning on when you log in ! Consequently I'm not sure how to stop this program from turning on every time I log in to my personal user profile. Skype Help was of little use, but I'm sure it's probably because I'm not using the proper search terminology - I suffer from brain farts occasionally
BTW... how do I check and see what other programs are booting up automatically when I turn on my mac ?
Thanks in advance.
