I have taken my laptop straight to the Apple Tech Center..
Thankyou,
Steve
Hello,
I recently encountered a problem whilst playing Fall Out 3, where the game would crash at a certain point. I downloadeded the appropriate Patch from http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=941054, which should fix the problem.
The instructions recommended that I restart my computer in a 'Clean State' before installing the patch. I followed the instructions from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796 and believe the problem was fixed.
However, my computer seemed to freeze at a blank gray screen upon start up the next morning. Keyboard and Mouse are non-responsive and I cannot even eject the CD. The only way to turn off the computer is to hold down the On button.
I fear this is something to do with the 'Clean State' in the previous start up. I believe that I may have selected the wrong check box in the 'System Configuration Utility' window.
Under the 'Selective Start up' option in that window, I may have Deselected the 'Load System Services' checkbox, instead of deselecting 'Load Startup Items' checkbox which is directly under it.
But I cannot check because the computer will not load up.
Can anyone offer any help, or even somewhere else I can go (if this isn't the appropriate forum).
Any help would be much appreciated.
I have a:
- 2007 Apple MacBook Pro - 2.4 GB RAM, 160GB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M Graphics Card.
- The hard drive is partitioned via bootcamp With Apple OSX and Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (although I mainly use Windows)
