I upgraded Internet Explorer 6 to 7. After it installed it required a restart, so I restarted it and when it loaded the only thing on the screen was the wallpaper and an error message "Windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I have restarted (from the task manager) about 10 times and keep getting the same error. I tried starting a new explorer.exe process from the task manager but as soon as explorer.exe shows up on the process list the same error message appears. I was going to try restoring the system to before I upgraded IE but can't find how to access System Restore from the task manager. Anyone know if this is possible? Any other suggestions are appreciated too!
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
