Start program automatically

by jopatco / March 10, 2008 2:35 AM PDT

I've just downloaded Mozilla's Sunbird calendar apps. I like it, but I'd like it to open each time I start my computer (windows xp). Can someone help walk an aging "boomer" through the process?

Thanks in advance.

copy the Sunbird shortcut into the Startup Folder
by ramarc / March 10, 2008 3:28 AM PDT

Open your start menu, click All Programs, right-click the Startup menu item and select Open. Open your start menu again, click All Programs, find your Mozilla menu item (that has Sunbird within it), right-click it and select Open.

You'll have two folders open now, the Mozilla folder and the Startup folder. Right click the Sunbird item in the Mozilla folder and select Copy then paste it into the Startup folder.
