1. Your subject notes a start problem, but your post seems to indicate you repaired that.
2. About data. Your files are always at risk if you didn't learn that a hard disk is not a safe place to keep files you can't lose. If you can't lose a file, you put such on other things such as a CDR, a memory stick and what other places you can.
That final term paper has a hard copy so you can type it back in.
Many only learn about backup the hard way. An experience like yours is the common lesson.
Take the lesson for what it is and learn how to not lose your files in the future.

I have -Laptop Acer-and Win.Xp Pro.System
When I wont start the Laptop ?than I get ?Message-Confiq system 32 error-I must try to restart Win Xp Pro-with cd rom and push ?R? button?I have done that-and I have reinstall Win Xp Pro. But I have lost my data in hard disk C.
My question is to you??
Is possible that Windows Xp Pro have ?SAVE? my data some place ells ??
I ask this because ?my hard disk is about 30 GB big ?but I can se that - I have only 15 GB free space in C drive.
Its Sims to me like my whole data is hiding same place in pc. I have tried to look in D drive but is nothing there.
