Question

Start Menu App icons are blank

May 5, 2017 2:41PM PDT

Hello! So my problem is that basically, when I use the start menu in the latest windows 10 (As of 5/5/2017) the windows store apps have no icons, and they just appear as a blank image, as if there wasn't an icon. Programs that I install on my computer do appear with their icon, only the windows store apps such as xbox and the new Paint 3D don't.

This is clearly a problem with something to do with the start menu, since if I pin for instance Paint 3D, which had no icon the start menu, to the taskbar, I can suddenly see the icon. HELP?

Answer
Seems there are priors on this issue.

PS. Top cause?

It appears most of the time Stardock software is the cause. Pester them for a fix.
