ma1, The Right-click context menu is dependant upon "Dragging and Dropping" being enabled in the Customize Start Menu settings. To check to see if this is the case:
Right-click on the Start button, then select Properties.
With the Start Menu Tab selected, click on the Customize button next to the Start Menu, then select the Advanced tab.
Under the Start menu items listing, is the "Enable dragging and dropping" option checked? If not, check it.
Click on the OK button, then click on the Apply button.
Hope this helps,
Going back 1 week, I have been unable to ''right-click'' on a program (under ''start>All Programs>) to view options to sort by name ect. I downloaded and installed a new program a few days prior but successfully right-clicked to sort by alpha order with the rest of the programs listed. Performed a system restore to an earlier date; this removed the said program but my right-click functionality did not return.
Any ideas on how to resolve this? No problem with performance but an out-of-sort list will leave me both distracted and aesthetically challenged.
