Standby Problem

When I put my laptop on standby, and try to turn it on a couple of mins later, it will not turn on. The power button shows that power is in the pc but the laptop will not wake up from standby, and I have to manually shut it down and turn it back on.. Please help

The XP Pro may be the clue here.

That sounds like someone wiped the machine and installed XP Pro. You didn't say.

-> Too often there are many drivers missing. When I want XP Pro the easy way I install the XP Home that the machine came with and upgrade to XP Pro to save myself from a day of driver hunts.
