the problem with working with only hardware is it is only part of the equation. You need to know the total number of connections, the size of the building, what the internet is used for and more. you really need an expert to stop by your shop and see what you need.
on a side note, depending on the type of business you do and how critical the internet is for the business, you may need a backup in case one service goes down.
We have a small network in our business and I am looking to create a wifi network for employees and wondered what people recommend.
Our setup is we have 2 broadband hubs/routers (192.168.3.1 & 192.168.4.1) with different providers and they connect to a main router (192.168.5.1) which does load balancing on the 2 lines incase one of our providers drop.
My view was to use one of the hubs for the employee wifi as the hub isn't the same network, but the line does go into our main router so this could be a security flaw? Think im been extra cautious but just want to see thoughts as need to keep business data secure.
My other option is to use a different seperate broadband line we have (which i was going to cancel) and just keep that for employees personal devices?
