ST1000 Freeze randomly

Hi all,

Recently my camera freeze a lot, some times as soon as I start it! And I have to remove the battery and race it to the settings to reset it to the default settings but that doesn't help much it just delay the freezing

Is there a firmware update or anything I can do to fix this problem?
