SSD not detected on startup

Hey hey everyone,
My PC has, for some reason that I am unsure of, decided to stop recognizing or even detecting my SSD drive with the OS installed on. Everything has been working fine so far until now. I was having the problem a few weeks ago, but rebooting the machine several times seemed to fix the problem, however it now persists constantly. I've opened it up and checked all the cables and am pretty sure there are no faults there, but the BIOS still seems unable to detect it (despite detecting additional HDD).
Does anyone have any tips or ideas for things that I could try? Would be most grateful for you expertise =)

If it isn't recognized by the BIOS and not recognized either when you put it in external enclosure, it's defective. Then replace it. It's easy, in principle, to reinstall your OS, and you might have taken the precaution to make an image backup, and then it's really easy.

Reseat the ssd power cable....take it off and put it back on.
Reseat the ssd sata both ends.

If no help swap the cables.
Hdd power cable > ssd.
Hdd sata cable > ssd.
