Question

Squelching Noise

by BanjoMax / January 14, 2016 2:21 PM PST

Hi,
My computer makes a loud, intermittent, squelching noise. It can occur when I’m checking emails or listening to music on the computer or even watching a movie on the computer. It might happen every ten minutes or so or it might happen hours apart. There is no pattern to it that I can find. It is always louder than anything that is being played. At the time of writing out this problem I was not listening to or playing anything on the computer even though the speakers are turned on, the squelch noise happened again. It even happens when I run a movie from the computer through to a projector and another set of speakers via an amplifier. Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Banjo

Take off side and especially watch the CPU fan.
