Spywareinfo Forums Update (2) June 27

"The server hosting SpywareInfo's message board has had a hardware meltdown and the forums have been down for a while as a result. The server has not been hacked or vandalized. It is simply broken. Specifically, the GNAX data center employees failed to report to my web host that the server has been beeping nonstop for months. Whatever was causing it to beep has rendered the server unusable.

The data from the message board is being uploaded to a temporary server right now as you read this. The forums probably will be operating tomorrow, although I won't promise it. I will have an update on whatever the situation is tomorrow.

In the meantime, choose another ASAP message board if you are here looking for help removing spyware or a browser hijacker. Go here, scroll down to "Recommended Sites" and choose a message board from the list. Don't all of you just click the first link in the list or you'll swamp that site's staff. If you don't recognize any of the other names on the list, please choose one at random. They all know how to remove spyware safely or they wouldn't be in the list. Another message board which is not listed is at ASAP is Castlecops.com which also can accomodate your problem.

For those reading the rumor mills on various web sites, SpywareInfo is not shutting down. I have been ill with a virus and haven't been able to deal with this server problem for the last several days. I apologize for the forums being down and they will be back soon."
