spyware virus

Jul 6, 2009 11:36PM PDT

My name is Ron I have a re occuring virus infestation it comes in the form of a spyware warning that envelopes the computer within seconds shutting you out of any control.Generally I run superantispy,Threatfire,McAfee antivirus plus Malwarebytes. This virus turns off my firewall and the only way that I have been able to get it out is to reformat all my drives,I have had it three times recently.Last year there was something similar masquerading as a microsoft extention.I am in Australia most of my friends dont get this or as many viruses, buy they are all have different ISP Providers Iam with iinet, I dont know if that is relevant or not they use the same sites as myself.I am tired of this cycle All my important data is backed up on discs,I would appreciated any and all advice.Thankyou

Bum links?

Are you clicking on links that you don't know the source or going to certain sites that always seem to flare up this virus?

Your ISP shouldn't have anything to do with it. What OS are you using? What browser are you using? What anti-virus are you running? Have you ran malwarebytes in safe mode....

The math is simple-

Go to torrent sites= viruses
Don't go to torrent sites= no viruses
