Spyware attack

Dec 3, 2003 1:15AM PST

For a couple of days now I get a popup window that tells me to buy a spyware program and the fact that it was able to install itself in my registry is a proof that I need it.
Running AdWare I found the following:

Vendor:Winpup32
Category:Malware
Object Type:RegKey
Size:-
Location:SOFTWARE\pup\
Last Activity:3/12/2003
Risk LevelLow
Comment:
Description:No Detail Information Available.

I delete it but then the next day it comes back.

What I can do to stop it from invading my computer? I use the Google toolbar PopUp protector but it seems that it is not able to stop it.

The problem is that AdAware finds it in the registry, it deletes it and in the next connection with the internet it comes on again. It is frustrating.
I wonder how it passes thru Zone Alarm.
