spysheriff removal

My notebook (using window XP) is infected with spysheriff. The program has not completely finishing running yet (I hit the pause option).

I did some research online and most of the postings requires that I download at least 4 different programs to route out Spysheriff. Problem is - it has not finished running and my notebook in incredibly slow and I cannot open up internet explorer let alone download the needed spyware removal programs.

Can i remove spysheriff without letting it run its complete cycle?

That is NOT easy to get rid of BUT

it is possible. BleepingComputer has a great tutorial for it. Please follow it exactly.

spysheriff hasn't finished running on my notebook

do i have to let it finish before I can install the needed removal programs?

it's just that my notebook is REALLY slow.....

have tried CTL+ALT+DEL

but it tells me that task manager has been locked by the administrator aka the spysheriff program.

Any other ideas? I just don't want to install more crap on my notebook if there is another way out.

Ewido Security Suite
Cleanup!

The links for those tools are all on the link I gave you. I'm sorry but unless something has changed recently that I do not know about, there is no easy way out with this.
