spysheriff removal

Jan 5, 2006 7:26AM PST

My notebook (using window XP) is infected with spysheriff. The program has not completely finishing running yet (I hit the pause option).

I did some research online and most of the postings requires that I download at least 4 different programs to route out Spysheriff. Problem is - it has not finished running and my notebook in incredibly slow and I cannot open up internet explorer let alone download the needed spyware removal programs.

Can i remove spysheriff without letting it run its complete cycle?

Thanks.

have tried CTL+ALT+DEL

but it tells me that task manager has been locked by the administrator aka the spysheriff program.

Any other ideas? I just don't want to install more crap on my notebook if there is another way out.
Thanks!

tools posted at Bleeping computer to get rid of it which are

Tools Needed for this fix:
HijackThis
Killbox
Smitfraud.reg
Ewido Security Suite
Cleanup!

The links for those tools are all on the link I gave you. I'm sorry but unless something has changed recently that I do not know about, there is no easy way out with this. Sad
