It is indeed a legitimate product/website and it's safe to use. However, I would say they took some liberties with stating that 90% of all computers are infected with spyware and 88% of all computers are infected by a new piece of spyware every 24 hours. I suspect they are including tracking cookies (generally harmless and accrued by visiting most websites, including Cnet) in that category to bolster the numbers. That aside, while it's a good product I would suggest AVG Antispyware instead, a freeware alternative I highly respect. Ewido, combined with Spybot S&D and your current antivirus scanner, is a nice team that should keep you clean. Simply put, why pay for protection when you can be comparably protected for free?
Hope this helps,
John
