SpybotS&D warning

by Basil Hall / April 22, 2004 5:40 AM PDT

In an attempt to fix a minor problem I repaired my Internet Explorer 6. Immediately after rebooting a Spybot popup asked me if I would allow a change to my browser. I clicked yes. Now every time I reboot the same message appears - How do I get rid iof it?

Thanks

Hi Marianna. The version is 1.3rc3. Could you please tell me in detail what you mean by " did you "lock" in Internet Explorer" - in other words how do I find out and what do I do when I have?

cheers.

In spybotS&D go to

IE tweaks and look under "miscellanous" locks - is there something checked?? Take the checks out - reboot. Pop-up gone??

Sorry for wasting your precious time.

I really am getting senile. I have a tendency to skip my eye over things and when I was younger this was sufficient. My brain is no longer good at flipping important facts into consciousness. There was a small "remember this decision box" that I missed. Take me away to the old folks home.

Sorry Marianna.

we are ALL getting older - hey, NO problem, Basil Happy

Have the feeling you are still "too young" for the old folks home Wink

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
