when i click on the icon, a small "spybot s&d" window opens on the toolbar, sits there for 4-5 seconds, the main program window flashes onscreen for a split second, then the toolbar window closes....
i ran AVG+an online scan+Ad-aware but find no sign of virus/spyware activity...
any ideas?

navigate to and delete the configuration file or edit it and set all automation to 0,, or there is a tool see bottom.and copy the shortcut and place it elswhere to.
1. You can delete the configuration file (which is named Configuration.ini). Where it is located depends on your Windows version...
For Windows 95/98, the file is located in C:\Windows\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\.
For Windows ME, the file is located in C:\Windows\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\.
For Windows NT/2000/XP, you will find it in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\.
