I was unable to get updates. Marianna said I should tick "display available beta versions" in advanced/settings/web update. I did that this time although I am not sure it is necssary. Could Marianna confirm?

If you check what you mentioned, you will ALSO get the BETA updates - it had a new BETA update today.

SBS&D was a beta version? Is there any advantage in getting the beta updates. Should everyone be getting thebeta updates?

No, I would NOT suggest - IF you do NOT want to "experiment" - to enable the BETA updates - as it is still "experimenting" and we post back to Patrick IF "something" is "weird" or does not work as planned.

IF you want to be SAFE - wait till the "final" is there Happy

why I was getting the coloured entries in the start up menu section I mentioned to Roddy some time ago. It was obviously part of the beta version.
