Sprint refuses to send phones I ordered unless I pay more!

Apr 6, 2005 9:08AM PDT

My Sprint contract ran out last month so after researching extensively yesterday I finally called and ordered new service and 5 new phones from Sprint. I paid $800. for the phones on my credit card. Today they called my cell phone and said that they had shipped 3 of the phones, but they wouldn't send the other two unless I paid an additional $160. Needless to say, I was taken aback and refused to authorize additional charges. When I returned home I emailed them and asked what the story was and received this reply, "I noticed that a payment of $160.00 is required to process the order again. Kindly call us at: 1-888-211-4727 for further assistance in this regard."

I have since spent another hour on the phone with two very nice people at Sprint, but they don't have any idea why this happened either. They said they would call me back tomorrow.
