QuickTime Pro, not to be confused with QuickTime Player, will allow you to split clips.

If you can get the video to play in iMovie, then you can do just about anything with it

QuickTime Pro is available here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/extending/

iMovie is already available on your Mac

That help?

Hey friends

I have a 41 minute. .AVI file and there's not enough room on the hard drive to put it in iMovie. I want to split it up into five parts to put on Youtube. How would I do this?

Thanks for sharing
