Would be to get in there to dry it up. Such work can result in more damage so I rarely suggest doing this unless it's a big spill and those that do this have worked such before.
I suggest doing nothing. If the keyboard fails later, replace it. Laptop keyboards as in the ones you can replace run from 12 to 99 dollars and for most laptops has been a 5 to 15 minute job. I would not do a thing given the story.
I spilt a drop of tea on my laptop which resulted in my keyboard typing random letters. I powered off the laptop straight away and blotted up the spillage as best I could. I did however power on my laptop again for about 30 minutes, only to realise my keys were malfunctioning and typing random letters. After this I powered off once again and removed all peripherals and chargers, I took a hair dryer on coldest lowest setting to the laptop evenly for about 5 minutes and then left it drying upside down for 24 hours. Thankfully the laptop appears to be working now and I am typing this with no issue, however I have read, residue from spilt drinks can cause problems later down the line such as corrosion? I'm a bit reluctant to take the laptop apart myself or pay for an inspection, but is it vital that I do this if the laptop so far appears to be working as normal?
