Spell Checker Plugins for WordPress

by abe_charles / September 24, 2014 6:20 AM PDT

I have four wordpress blogs which have been great but I noticed wordpress is poor at spell checking which can be hell for me at times. In fact one of my friends from church who reads my blogs frequently complains about spelling errors and typos which degrades the quality of my work.

I tried posting on wordpress.org forums for a recommendation for a great, not just good, but great wordpress spell checker plugin to use on my blogs. I tried a few but they didn't detect a thing. Plus the same thing happened to me when I was using Windows Live Writer. That sucks big time when it comes to highlighting spelling errors.

Can anyone recommend a wordpress.org plugin to check for spelling errors in posts when they are being published or updated? I would really appreciate this

What browser are you using?

Most browsers have built-in spell checking. For example, if I'm in Firefox or Safari and start typing this in a WordPress post:

"Thiss is great!"

It will underline "Thiss" in read and when I right-click on it, offer suggestions.

"read" in the post above is perfectly spelled, however, "red" is what I wanted to say.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
