Question

Spell check

Jan 3, 2014 8:02PM PST

I am running Win XP Pro, P-4, 2.35, 2HD's, 1 Terrabyte and one 80GHD. I use Firefox. I have noticed recently that my spell checker no longer red lines some words that are misspelled. Also in my email program, OE 6, there is no auto correction in the body of the email, until I get ready to send it. Any body else run into this type of problem! Thanks, Bill

As far as I know, no spell checker came with Windows XP natively. So what spell checker are you talking about?

It is either a part of or one that works with Open Office. Thanks, Bill

Don't think so

Don't think so. OpenOffice should have it's own spellcheck, same as Firefox. Outlook Express, however, aside from being a major security hazard that should be avoided at all cost, wants to only use the MS Office spellcheck. There are a few third party ones that will work, but I'm reasonably certain OpenOffice and/or LibreOffice is among them.
