speed disk

using NSW 2005 with win98.

I tried to run Speed Disk to see if drive C was too fragmented. Speed Disk doesn't complete the analyse/scan of drive C. It just reaches 35% or 40%, and then repeats it again. I clicked "close".

Hope that made sense.

Good reminder
by eelnavi / January 25, 2006 10:47 PM PST

I wanted to check the amt of fragmentation. Tells me if it requires immediate attention. I guess i just panicked since this happened for the 1st time. Happy Usually if there's an error speed disk prompts me to run NDD (scandisk).

Thanks Griff.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
