Special Question about MUSIC FILES NAMING!!!

Special Question about Ipod!!!
Hello, I have been here in the USA for less than a year, and I am getting the 8gb nano next week.
So my question is regarding file managment, this is my problem, most of my music (about 1500 songs) I brought it from Uruguay, so I know a lot of artists are not known here and Itunes probably wont recongnise them, and they are all from ripping cds, so the files are named like, "La Vela 01", "La Vela 02", "La Vela 03", so I wonder how this is going to show up on the ipod. In my computer I have them sort in folders like,
"La Vela Puerca/A contra Luz/La Vela 01.mp3"
So I can found them pretty easily in my laptop because of the folders, but I dont think itunes and ipod wold "see" the folder's naming.

So...if someone has any idea on what should I do to give the files, the atributes needed for itunes to sort my music, I mean a somehow to give those files the atributes like genre, album, artist, song.
