The switching of speakers is not a native PC or Windows feature. The maker has to set it up with care to wiring and motherboard capability.
If fact the motherboard manual writes:
"Audio signals will be present on both of the front and back panel audio connections simultaneously"
So you or the machine maker has to craft something different than stock.
I have the GA-Z270X-Gaming 7 (rev. 1.0) and my case is the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Acrylic. Here is the manual for the case www.phanteks.com/assets/manuals/PH-ES515P_Western.pdf. My problem is that the headphones plugged into the front panel play at the same time as as my speakers plugged into the back. I have been turning the speakers off when I plug the headphones in. When I plug the headphones in shouldn't it recognize they are plugged in and shut the speakers off? For some reason it doesn't. Could I have something hooked up wrong? This is my first build so I guess I could have done something wrong but I don't know what it could be. I've been looking for answers for hours and hours. I was hoping it was a windows problem. Oh by the way I have win 10 x64. Any ideas would be appreciated!
