Years ago I bought a pair of speaker stands for my old-school 10" 2-way Energy bookshelf speakers. They are very simple: Black, flat platforms on bottom and top (top have 4 rubber pads for speakers), and the post is filled with sand to make them very heavy and non-vibrating. The stands are about 30" tall which are perfect for my front speakers. These are pretty generic. Doesn't anyone make something simple like these? I've not looked at stands in quite some time. Oh, for my back surround speakes, I made some by mirroring what I have for fronts, but I made them out of heavy redwood 4X4" posts with thick redwood platforms on top and bottom that are wood-screwed into the posts. They work fine for the rears since my rears are small 5" 2-ways.
I've been trying to find speaker stands that are compatible with the Energy Take Classic speakers. Everywhere I look someone has a good and bad experience with whatever type I look at. Has anyone had a good experience with a "universal set?" Does Energy make an inexpensive one for their speakers that I'm just not seeing? I would really appreciate some help.
