Speaker setup

I am setting up a room for just listening to my music. The room is 15' x 16' and the ideal sitting distance will be about 13' from the equipment. I have a Yamaha AS801 amp, Nad c546bee CD player, Technica AT-LP120-USB turntable and my speakers for now are Energy Connoisseur C-6. My question is what is the ideal distance I should have the towers apart? The reason I ask is because I have shelving units that I need to fit into the mix. If I put them where I would like, the speakers will be 80" apart. Does anyone know if this is not an optimal distance? I welcome somebodies knowledge on this Happy

I've seen discussions on that for decades now.

My answer is it matters to the owner. If they think it sounds good, they are right!

Thanks that is what I thought just seeing if someone had a different thought on this. It's just.like all the different audio components if it sounds good to yourself that is the.only thing that matters
