More Questions...

What make and model is the computer you're connecting it to? Laptop or desktop?

Where exactly on the computer are you plugging in the speaker plug? Usually, it's the green female jack on the back of the computer..

Have you tried other speakers on the computer and do they work correctly?

Tried installing the latest driver for your computer sound card? It should be available at the computer manufacturer's where you could also check to see if it supports 2.1 sound. (It should.)

Check the computer sound settings so they're allowing the "stereo speakers" option? (On Windows XP, open the Control Panel, then double click on the "Sound and Audio Devices" icon. Once that opens, in the "Volume" tab, click on the "Advanced" button in the Speakers section at the bottom.. In the "Speakers" tab, use the drop down menu in the "Speaker setup" section to enable "Desktop stereo speakers". Then click on Apply, then OK, etc.)

Hope this helps and let us know more.

Grif

i have a sound card and this happend on mine suddelny so i tried all the obvious things but no luck but then in the end i went onto the device manager and disabled the card rebooted then enabled the card and reboot again and it sudenly worked.
if this doesn't work try rolling back the drivers and then reinstalling them.
