"Sparklies" on my PS3! PLEASE HELP!

by mattnotis / March 23, 2008 11:18 AM PDT

So I just got a 40 GB PS3 hooked up to my Panasonic TH-50PX77U with a Monster HDMI cable. During Blu-ray disc playback, I've noticed some sparklies popping up. They're very few, but they're there and annoying. How would I go about fixing this problem?

What exactly do you mean by "sparklies"?

Like little white specks that show up on the screen? Try borrowing a different HDMI cable from a friend or buy a cheap one from walmart to try out. If the problem isn't fixed by using a different HDMI cable then the problem is with the PS3 (assuming you don't get sparklies on your HDTV from other sources like satellite/cable receivers)

using a different HDMI cable and it still didn't solve the problem. I guess I'll have to exchange my PS3. Hopefully that solves the problem.

I have heard of your problem before with the PS3 and all those people had to exchange theirs. Hopefully it isn't too much of a hassle for you to do so.

Did they say that the problem was remedied once the exchange was made?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
