SPAM - US Elections Spam: This Just In?

The US Presidential Elections is still a year away and yet campaigns, solicitations, and other brouhaha are already in full swing. The same thing can be said with the ?VOTE FOR MEs? in cyberspace, what with the presidentiable Web sites and all the other ?creative? stuff supporters were able to come up with (there was that ?Crush on Obama? video on YouTube, after all).

It doesn?t come as a surprise, therefore, that spammers ? or the use of email in general ? come into the picture (actually, it was a bit shocking this didn?t come into the picture sooner): the TrendLabs Content Security Team has recently received several samples of email messages campaigning for Texas congressman Ron Paul. Below is a screenshot of one of the messages:
