Question

spam mystery

Mar 15, 2015 7:20AM PDT

Hi guys--
Today my website received visitors from seven countries, from around the world. The referrer was:
"buttons-for-website," which was listed as spam. This has happened before. I'm happy to have these far flung views of my blog; I've had many without referrals, so this is not a complaint--yet. My question: can anyone tell me how a spam site benefits by referring visitors to me? Do I truly benefit? Can this be harmful to my blog?
Thanks for any info. You are always helpful.
